March 14, 2006 Calderoids
This is so great! Brilliant mashup. Also see STORKER’s modification of Calder’s work.

February 27, 2006 Who’s Bad? Mario, of course.
Here is a little mash-up I made a while ago. Mario and Michael together at last (with a little bit of Cap’n Lou thrown in for good measure)

February 10, 2006 hard drive visualization
Please join the hard drive visualization pool on Flickr. I ran WinDirStat to see what I could delete from my laptop to make some room and was taken with the resulting image. It would be interesting to use hard drive file system data to create other sorts of visualizations.
Annotating and publishing the visualization adds a personal, somewhat voyeuristic element (pr0n shows up as a paticular shade of pink (jj) ).

January 27, 2006 Zork on the Go – Treo 600
I totally fulfilled my geek quotient for the day by installing classic infocom text adventures and an interpreter on my cell phone and playing the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy game on my train ride into work this morning. Kronos seems to do a nice job of presenting the game.
I’d like to find more uses for the infrared feature on the Treo. Is there software anywhere that gives you the same functionality as those key chain fobs that’ll turn off any TV?
I’d also like to build something that could trigger el-cheapo digicams at a distance – this would be good for a kite rig. Maybe the range isn’t good enough for this. I’ve read that they’re underpowered.

January 23, 2006 Plaid | Itsu
I once saw Plaid in Vancouver. They were supposed to play with Squarepusher but Squarepusher never showed up. My flight was the next morning and I didn’t have time to go back to the record store to get a discount on my ticket, so I asked the promoter for an on the spot refund. I didn’t notice that she mistakenly gave me a $100 instead of a $10 until the following day. I wish I got paid to watch Plaid all the time. Video Link
