March 13, 2007 Distro of the Devil
Today while chmoding some files ’666′ I ran a quick google search to see if there were any evil sys-admins out there who especially appreciated this particular permission. Ubuntu Satanic Edition is what I got. It seems to be a response to the Ubuntu Christian Edition and recommends you install into the christian distro for the extra added blasphemy (the Satanic Edition is a collection of wallpapers, login screens, and themes).

March 9, 2007 I Want Your Skull
I’ve had I Want Your Skull in my feeds for a while now. Just received a nice set of buttons from there.
As a bonus skull related item, here is a photo of the case that Margot made for me that currently houses my Casio Exilm EX-Z80.

8-Bit Operators reinterprets your favorite Kaftwerk tunes on gameboys and C-64s and that kind of cool stuff.
Not distributed via Creative Commons but the track previews gives one a good taste.

March 7, 2007 Author of Wikinomics, Dan Tapscott speaking in Calgary
The good folks at Cambrian House want to share Dan Tapscott’s recent talk with you. Seeing that I wasn’t able to make it to the talk, their video certainly comes appreciated.
Wikinomics is another good example of how this whole ’2.0′ thing is garnering major mainstream attention (the first thing Tapscott mentions is the Time 2006 Person of the Year).

February 23, 2007 Swarm of Angels

BoingBoing mentioned this project again today as they are currently doing their February vote. I love the cinema 2.0 concept and just about signed up for a membership when it was first announced; maybe I still should and get involved.

February 20, 2007 Urban Curators

The goal of the Urban Curators project is to engage the public in the celebration of the decaying urban environment, recognizing its inherent aesthetic qualities as well as the important role that it plays within our cultural habitat. The project achieves its goal by elevating common, overlooked objects and spaces within the city of Providence, Rhode Island to the level of high art.
