Frets on Fire
Frets on Fire is an open source Guitar Hero type game programed in python; runs great under linux. I very much enjoyed the rawking out on the ol’ QWERTY this evening. I’ve got a clicky IBM Model M keyboard around here somewhere. I need to find it and employ it for the rawking out as it has the extra sturdy construction and the clickable action for the powerful riffage, not to mention the curly telephone style chord.
Distro of the Devil
Today while chmoding some files ‘666′ I ran a quick google search to see if there were any evil sys-admins out there who especially appreciated this particular permission. Ubuntu Satanic Edition is what I got. It seems to be a response to the Ubuntu Christian Edition and recommends you install into the christian distro for the extra added blasphemy (the Satanic Edition is a collection of wallpapers, login screens, and themes).

The good folks at Cambrian House want to share Dan Tapscott’s recent talk with you. Seeing that I wasn’t able to make it to the talk, their video certainly comes appreciated.
Wikinomics is another good example of how this whole ‘2.0′ thing is garnering major mainstream attention (the first thing Tapscott mentions is the Time 2006 Person of the Year).
Swarm of Angels
BoingBoing mentioned this project again today as they are currently doing their February vote. I love the cinema 2.0 concept and just about signed up for a membership when it was first announced; maybe I still should and get involved.
